BookMarks is a nonprofit organization that delivers literary experiences celebrating books and authors throughout the year with the goal of offering enrichment and education to all ages and demographics. Our programming includes: a free-to-the-public book festival in Downtown Winston-Salem every September; an Authors in Schools initiative; and author talks around the Triad presenting bestselling and award-winning authors. In 2012, we reached approximately 12,500 people in the Triad with our events and programs including 4,000 students, ages three through college, who participated in our Authors in Schools program.
