Commercial Real Estate Intern – Reedy Property Group Location: Winston-Salem, NC (in-office, 7990 North Point Blvd.)

Type: Paid Internship | Part-Time (15–20 hrs/week during semester) or Full-Time (Summer) Compensation: $15/hour, depending on experience


About Reedy Property Group

Reedy Property Group is a Winston-Salem–based commercial real estate firm specializing in brokerage, leasing, acquisitions, and investment sales across the Triad and broader Carolinas. Our deal flow spans flex/industrial, retail, office, multifamily, single-tenant net lease (STNL), and land development — from local owner-user transactions to multi-million dollar 1031 exchanges and institutional placements.

We're a lean shop. Interns work directly with the brokers on real, live deals.


What You'll Actually Do

  • Build broker opinion of value (BOV) packages, offering memorandums, and marketing flyers for active listings
  • Run sales and lease comps using CoStar, Crexi, and county GIS/tax records
  • Source acquisition targets and build owner contact lists for outbound campaigns
  • Underwrite deals at a basic level: NOI, cap rate, $/SF, IRR — we'll teach you the rest
  • Conduct due diligence support: pulling title reports, zoning verifications, environmental databases, demographic pulls
  • Help maintain CRM pipeline (Lofty) and tenant/landlord databases
  • Sit in on showings, listing presentations, and deal calls when scheduling allows
  • Assist with our AI-driven deal sourcing workflow (Claude) — if you're curious about where CRE tech is heading, this is a front-row seat

Who We're Looking For

  • Junior or senior pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (Wake Forest, UNCG, App State, HPU, NC State, WSSU all welcome)
  • Comfortable in Excel — pivot tables and basic formulas at minimum; willing to learn financial modeling
  • Strong written communication — you'll be drafting client emails, listing copy, and memos
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to manage multiple workstreams without hand-holding
  • Curious about how transactions actually get done, not just how they're taught in textbooks
  • Reliable transportation for occasional property tours

Bonus Points For

  • Coursework in commercial real estate finance, urban planning, or GIS
  • Familiarity with CoStar, Crexi, LoopNet, or REIS
  • Prior internship at a brokerage, lender, developer, or appraiser
  • Working toward NC Real Estate Provisional Broker license (we'll support the path if you're serious about a career in the industry)
